Amboseli Photography Workshop: Elephants & Kilimanjaro

Amboseli National Park offers some of the most iconic photographic opportunities in Africa. The combination of large elephant herds and the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro creates images that define the African safari experience.

We partnered with award-winning wildlife photographer James Mwangi to create a photography-focused safari experience. Over three days, our small group of eight participants learned composition techniques, camera settings for wildlife, and the art of patience.

The results speak for themselves — several participants had their work featured in national publications. One guest's photograph of an elephant silhouetted against Kilimanjaro at sunset was shortlisted for a photography award.

This workshop format has become so popular that we now run them quarterly, each in a different location: Amboseli in the dry season, Maasai Mara during migration, Tsavo for landscapes, and Watamu for underwater photography.
